DNA Base Camp: Discovering New Avenues

In this summer camp students will go over chemistry basics by building 3D models of water molecules and DNA and discuss polar and nonpolar molecules. They will extract strawberry DNA and learn how DNA behaves at different temperatures and the central dogma of molecular biology. The course will finish by demonstrating how mutations in the DNA can cause a different behavior in the produced protein.
