Ticket Cost Transparency: CELLS is a community-funded nonprofit. We do not receive government, state, or private foundation grants. Our lab is kept open by students and families like you! 

Occasionally we are able to offer temporary discounts or financial need scholarships thanks to our partners and private donors! For discounted tickets and need-based scholarships, the price is subsidized by in-kind and monetary donations to CELLS, allowing us to offer the class or program at a significantly reduced rate.

Where your registration goes:

• 58%-68% Lab Share Cost: Covers rent, insurance, and professional hazardous waste disposal.

• 28% Materials Fee: High-quality biotech consumables (plasticware, reagents, and PPE).

• 4%-14% Platform Fees: Required processing charges and/or Eventbrite service and processing fees.

• Instructional Labor: $0 (Volunteered $30-$100 per hour value). Our instructors (professional scientists and subject matter experts) and lab techs donate their time so we can keep our program fees lower!
